When reading the stories of many other 50 year old plus women athletes, they usually start with...
”I was a (insert sport here) athlete in high school and college. I never stopped, or I had a career and family so I didn’t have time anymore.”
That is NOT my story.
Although I enjoyed sports in high school and even played a little women’s hockey in my 20’s, I was never an exceptional athlete. Mostly a third stringer. Add to that, I have battled a weight issue most of my life. So at age 50 when I decided I needed to lose 60 pounds and I would compete in a triathlon, little did I know what kind of journey I had started on and that a single triathlon would not be the end of that journey.
Herein lies the story of my Never Ending Journey.
"The journey between what you once were and who you are now becoming is where the dance of life really takes place."
