Peer Pressure

Run, Bike, Run today.

I had my prescribed pace all set.
This is supposed to be an Easy Week,
as the plan for the next few weeks is apparently to see just how much pain I can handle...
I can hardly wait!
The first run was uneventful, although I did notice that it was quite warm for 6:30am.
I guess summer is here.
The bike was great. I love riding out at the lake.
I even took a moment at the turn around to admire the view and say a quick thanks that I have the opportunity to play this game.
On the return bike, I was passed by another woman...
and...
then the rest of her pack.
Mind you I was on an easy ride.
But....
Something inside me
SNAPPED.
Next thing I know I'm in the chase. It's all about catching up and staying with them.
My Gramin is screaming at me to slow down.
Of course NOT!

Soon our paths parted and I dropped back to my predetermined pace.
But that was not the end.
As I was out on my 2nd run....
I hear footsteps behind me and a cheerful call out of
"Hello again"
The woman who first passed me on the bike is now passing me on my run.
Again, I am compelled to try and stay with her even though it is not in today's plan.

I survived Peer Pressure quite well in my Teens.
But...
I don't seem to be doing as well in my Tri's
